Here’s a simple recipe for Apple Pie Minis—perfect for when you’ve picked a few too many apples from the farm! 🍎 These mini apple pies are great for sharing, and their size makes them perfect for any occasion.

Mini Apple Pie Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2-3 medium-sized apples (peeled, cored, and diced)
  • 1 pre-made pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg (optional)
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter (cut into small pieces)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Muffin tin (for baking)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare the apples: In a bowl, mix diced apples with sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, flour, and lemon juice. Set aside.
  3. Roll out the pie crust: Roll the dough and cut it into circles slightly larger than your muffin tin cups. Line each muffin tin with the dough circles, pressing them gently to fit.
  4. Fill the pies: Spoon the apple mixture into each dough-lined muffin tin, filling each cup. Add a small piece of butter on top of each mini pie.
  5. Top with crust: Use remaining pie dough to cut out small strips or shapes to place on top of each mini pie.
  6. Brush with egg wash: Lightly beat the egg and brush it over the top of each pie for a golden finish.
  7. Bake: Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the apples are tender.
  8. Cool & Enjoy: Allow the mini pies to cool for a few minutes before removing them from the tin. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream!
